Charity
First off. Sometimes cliches are right. Charity begins at home. Why are we spending "less than the cost of a cup of coffee" to help kids overseas? We have thousands of kids right here in America that are starving, living in shelters, homeless, etc.
How many people hang up that picture of the kid they sponsor? Too many! If you would help out those starving kids right here in America, maybe we would not have such a high juvenile crime rate. Maybe those socialites spending thousands of dollars at a charity dinner for another country could give a foster child better home instead.
Yes, kids in other countries need help. But, honestly, how many commercials do you see to feed starving kids right here in America?
Shouldn't we be trying to help our own kids?
